Art and Design
Study in 30 acres of natural beauty at our Enfield Campus, the perfect backdrop to explore your creativity while prioritising sustainability and environmental responsibility. With over 40 designed gardens, woodlands, and a mini zoo, you can find inspiration at every turn.
At Capel Manor College, you will engage in imaginative, experimental projects that incorporate natural and recycled materials. You will work with earth mediums like clay, soil, and plant-based dyes, alongside organic, biodegradable materials such as wood, bamboo, and textiles. Recycling and upcycling will play a key role as you turn materials like paper, reclaimed wood, and glass into artistic creations, ranging from mosaics and sculptures to 3D forms.
On our courses, you will explore eco-friendly finishes, create biodegradable art installations that naturally decompose, and design plantable art, where seeds embedded in your work grow into flowers and plants. You will also have the chance to experiment with eco-printing techniques, using leaves and flowers for sustainable textile printing. Additionally, you will work closely with the community on projects that use locally sourced, sustainable materials.
Capel Manor College’s Art and Design courses are perfect for those who wish to blend artistic innovation with a commitment to sustainability.
