Course overview
Our Introduction to Smartphone Photography Workshop is the start of your journey in learning how to capture beautiful images with just your mobile phone!
This workshop will start with a historic and picturesque tour of the 30-acre Capel Manor estate that is home to our Enfield Campus and Capel Manor Gardens. You will then learn the basics from an industry specialist for capturing photos and the best ways to instantly improve your photography skills.
At the end of the workshop you can enjoy complimentary tea/coffee and a pastry. Timings will be as follows: 9.30 to 10am: Arrival and tour of Capel Manor Gardens 10am to 11.30am: Hands-on photography workshop with stops along the way 11.30am to 12pm: Refreshments of tea/coffee and a pastry Once enrolment is complete we will be in touch to confirm whether you have an iPhone or Android smartphone.
You will learn
- The importance of lighting in your photos
- An overview of the different camera modes
- One key composition rule that will improve many of your photos
- How to create a stunning image of moving water using one of the camera tools
- One essential editing tip to improve your images
Although there is no formal qualification associated with this course, all participants will receive a Capel Manor College Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the course.
This workshop is for those aged 19 and over. No prior experience is required. We recommend you dress appropriately for all weather as this workshop will involve elements of exploring outdoors as you tour our 30-acre estate.
Upon completion you can progress to one of our other smartphone photography workshops.
