What is floristry and floral design?

Floristry is the art of working with flowers to create floral arrangements and beautiful displays and designs. Floral design is a specialised area of floristry focused on creating unique, personalised arrangements for events and occasions. With a focus on sustainability, our floristry and floral design courses equip you with the knowledge and techniques needed to work in these industries.

What is event styling and balloon artistry?

Event styling involves creating stylish, visually appealing event settings, including décor, lighting and floral arrangements. Our event styling courses provide essential skills in this area.

Our balloon artistry courses cover the creative field of balloon art, involving the design and creation of sculptures and arrangements made from balloons, often used in events and celebrations. These courses align with sustainability values by promoting the use of high-quality, natural latex rubber balloons that decompose at the same rate as an oak leaf.

As members of both the National Balloon Association (NABAS) and the Balloon and Party Industry Alliance (BAPIA) we support the PEBA (Pro Environmental Balloon Alliance) slogan, “Don’t Let It Go, Pin It & Bin It!’

Frequently asked questions

Our balloon artistry courses are designed with sustainability in mind. Our students are taught using high-quality, natural latex balloons, which are made from a renewable resource and can decompose at a similar rate to an oak leaf under suitable natural conditions.

Natural latex is harvested from rubber trees through a careful tapping process that allows the trees to continue growing and producing latex, helping to support responsible forestry practices and reduce the need for deforestation.

As members of both the National Balloon Association (NABAS) and the Balloon and Party Industry Alliance (BAPIA), we support the PEBA (Pro Environmental Balloon Alliance) message: “Don’t Let It Go, Pin It & Bin It!”

Through our courses, we aim to educate students on responsible balloon practices, ensuring they understand not only how to create beautiful balloon artistry professionally, but also how to use, handle and dispose of balloons responsibly, helping us all to protect and respect the environment we live in.
