Are you interested in arboriculture? If you would like to learn more about trees and would like an overview of trees in your local area, this one-day workshop is for you. Discover the fascinating world of trees in Capel Manor College award winning Gardens with this engaging hands-on course in summer tree identification.
Ideal for beginners and those with some existing knowledge, this course offers a welcoming introduction for newcomers while also refreshing and strengthening the skills of more experienced learners. By the end of the day, you’ll have a clear, practical framework for identifying a wide variety of trees far beyond the Garden itself.

- How to identify trees in your local area
- How trees grow and adapt
- What trees need and what needs them
Although there is no formal qualification associated with this course, all participants will receive a Capel Manor College Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the course.
No formal entry requirements are required, however a keen interest in gardening is vital.
Successful completion of this course will allow you to progress on to The Seasonal Gardener, The Maintenance Gardener or The Professional Gardener.
