Course overview
Designed for home educators working with Early Years and Key Stage 1 children, this is a fun and practical one-day workshop that helps bring learning to life through gardening and outdoor discovery.
Using stories, seasonal activities and hands-on growing projects, the workshop explores simple ways to encourage curiosity, creativity and confidence while helping children build a meaningful connection with the natural world.
You will learn
- Easy-to-use gardening ideas that link with picture books and language development
- How to apply garden learning across the curriculum, all through playful outdoor experiences
- Simple plants and beginner-friendly horticultural skills, giving you the confidence to create engaging activities for children
- Quick and easy to implement, transferable ideas
Although there is no formal qualification associated with this course, all participants will receive a Capel Manor College Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the course.
No formal entry requirements are required, however a keen interest in gardening is vital.
Successful completion of this course will allow you to progress on to The Seasonal Gardener, The Maintenance Gardener or The Professional Gardener.
