Course overview
This exciting, hands on course introduces you to the fast paced world of event management, giving you the confidence and practical skills to plan, organise and deliver real events.
Designed for creative thinkers and team players, this course blends business, teamwork, practical creativity and event planning through engaging, face to face learning.
You will learn through a variety of inspiring ways including participation in creative, hands-on workshops, team-based tasks, work placements with events-related employers, and classroom sessions.
This is a perfect first step to build your experience and move towards a career in events, hospitality, business or the creative industries
You will learn
- How to develop themes, visual concepts, décor plans and event experiences
- How to organise events from start to finish, including timelines, resources, roles and responsibilities
- How to cost an event and manage budgets
- Event promotion including how to attract audiences and communicative effectively
- Teamwork and leadership skills
- How to reduce environmental impact and make eco-friendly choices
This is a full-time course. If you are aged 16, 17 or 18 at the start of this course, your tuition, exams and materials fees will be paid for you in full as long as you meet some basic criteria for UK residence. Further information will be provided when you enrol.
If you are aged 19 or over on the day your course starts, you may be entitled to help with tuition fees for some courses. If you are in receipt of employment benefits, have a low income, or are studying towards your first substantial qualification, you may be entitled to free tuition. NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Event Planning
Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English and maths. We will also consider any prior learning achieved at Level 1 and any experience gained in an appropriate professional environment.
Upon completion, you can move on to a range of Level 3 courses or apprenticeships in event planning, business, creative arts, hospitality, marketing or floristry.
