This module is necessary for anyone involved with pesticide use. Topics covered include legislation, pesticide preparation, record keeping, environmental safety pesticides labels and regulations. This is all in compliance with regulations and directives from the Health & Safety Executive. Calculations and interpreting information is an integral part of the training.
You will be tested on PA1 on the second day of training in the morning via an online test which lasts 60 minutes.
PA1 is the mandatory unit you must pass before being allowed on your practical assessment. Shall you not have gained your PA1 before your practical PA6 assessment is due, your fees will still be forfeited. If you wish to take your PA1 again you will incur an additional fees of £76.
PA6 – Hand Held Applicator Day 2 of the course and half of day 3
This module is designed for people who apply pesticides from a knapsack sprayer. Some of the topics covered are preparation of equipment, calibration and record keeping.
PA6 –Water day 3 of the course in the afternoon only
As above but including application to water using hydraulic nozzle or rotary atomizer type sprayers.

All candidates must bring their own personal protective equipment
All chainsaw assessments require a £50 deposit for a student or £350 for non student
