Course overview
This new T Level course will help you to develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the animal care and management sector, including sustainability, biosecurity and employment rights and responsibilities.
Please note, this course is not available for students aged 19 and over.
You will study a variety of essential principles to help you to start a career in animal care and management for roles such as zookeeper, animal care worker, dog handler and horse riding instructor.

T Level in Animal Care and Management – Occupational Specialism: Animal Management and Behaviour
This course is not available for students aged 19 and over. You will need five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, this must include English, Maths and Science.
Upon successful completion of this course you can progress to our animal management and zoology degree or another related higher education course subject to entry requirements. You will also be able to find employment in a range of animal care and management careers.
This is a full-time course. If you are aged 16, 17 or 18 at the start of this course, your tuition, exams and materials fees will be paid for you in full as long as you meet some basic criteria for UK residence. If you are aged 19-25 with an EHCP, you would will also qualify to attend this course with the same rights to funding support. Find out more on our Fees and Funding page.
