Animal Care and Management – Occupational Specialism Animal Management and Behaviour (T Level)

Course overview

This new T Level course will help you to develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the animal care and management sector, including sustainability, biosecurity and employment rights and responsibilities.

You will study a variety of essential principles to help you to start a career in animal care and management for roles such as zookeeper, animal care worker, dog handler and horse riding instructor.

T Level in Animal Care and Management

You will need six GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, this must include English, Maths and Science.

Upon successful completion of this course you can progress to our animal management and zoology degree or another related higher education course subject to entry requirements. You will also be able to find employment in a range of animal care and management careers.

This is a full-time course. If you are aged 16, 17 or 18 at the start of this course, your tuition, exams and materials fees will be paid for you in full as long as you meet some basic criteria for UK residence. Further information will be provided when you enrol.

If you are aged 19 or over on the day your course starts, you may be entitled to help with tuition fees for some courses. If you are in receipt of employment benefits, have a low income, or are studying towards your first substantial qualification, you may be entitled to free tuition. Isabella’s story

Isabella began with the Technical Diploma in Animal Management and Welfare (Level 2), then pursued the Animal Management Diploma and Extended Diploma (Level 3). Isabella’s story
