Liam’s story
Liam is studying animal management at Capel Manor College.
“Before joining Capel Manor College I had been studying at secondary school and volunteering. I always knew what I wanted to study as animals have been a passion of mine from a young age. I decided to study Animal Management (Level 2) at the College as it was local to me and it was a place that I knew would have a positive impact on my future career.
I enjoy the variety of animals that I have worked with as it has given me valuable information about a wide range of different species. I am able to use my new knowledge to practice real-life scenarios through practical lessons.
So far, I have gained a lot of information about the many different career choices available for working with animals. In the future, I hope to be able to do my part in conserving wildlife for future generations. For now, I am still studying but I have been given the opportunity to do conservation work in India which I am looking forward to doing. The experiences I have been given so far at the College will be very helpful during my trip.”
