This course is for those wishing to climb trees and perform aerial rescue and is a pre requisite for any further aerial work or training.
Candidates need to be physically fit with a good head for heights.
The course is delivered onto 5 consecutive days followed by a 1 day independent NPTC assessment (see timetable below).

Subjects covered include:

  • Access and movement techniques within trees to achieve work positions
  • Branch walking, use of redirects movement within the crown
  • Knowledge of Health & Safer regulations, industry best practice,
  • Climbing equipment checks
  • Aerial rescues recovery of both conscious and unconscious casualties

All candidates must bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE)
All prices include hire of equipment (£35 for external candidates/£10 for Capel Manor College students)
All chainsaw assessments require a £350 deposit for a non-student or £50 for a Capel Manor student
