Floristry involves working with flowers to create arrangements and displays. Event styling considers the wider appearance of an event, including décor, lighting and floral arrangements. Our subject area brings together floristry, floral art and design, event planning, balloon artistry and event styling.
Our floristry and event styling provision includes full-time, part-time, evening and apprenticeship routes. Availability depends on the individual course. Check out the course listing for its study mode, campus and entry requirements.
Our floristry and event styling courses are offered at Enfield, Gunnersbury Park, Mottingham and Regent’s Park. The choice of courses differs between campuses, so check out your preferred course page for its location before applying.
Our balloon artistry courses are designed with sustainability in mind. Our students are taught using high-quality, natural latex balloons, which are made from a renewable resource and can decompose at a similar rate to an oak leaf under suitable natural conditions.
Natural latex is harvested from rubber trees through a careful tapping process that allows the trees to continue growing and producing latex, helping to support responsible forestry practices and reduce the need for deforestation.
As members of both the National Balloon Association (NABAS) and the Balloon and Party Industry Alliance (BAPIA), we support the PEBA (Pro Environmental Balloon Alliance) message: “Don’t Let It Go, Pin It & Bin It!”
Through our courses, we aim to educate students on responsible balloon practices, ensuring they understand not only how to create beautiful balloon artistry professionally, but also how to use, handle and dispose of balloons responsibly, helping us all to protect and respect the environment we live in.
