Floriculture Experience Day

Course overview

If you have thought about starting a flower farm or a floristry business, then this experience day will give you the basic skills to get started.

This one-day experience day is a taster into the world of floriculture and is suitable for all people interested in growing their own cut flowers to use in floral displays using sustainable techniques.

This experience day takes place at Forty Hall Farm in Enfield.

You will learn

  • How to identify, cut and condition a range of suitable floral plants and materials
  • How to create your own floral design using home-grown British flowers

Although there is no formal qualification associated with this course, all participants will receive a Capel Manor College Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the course.

This course is for those aged 19+, no entry requirements or previous experience is required. An interest in learning more about floriculture is desired.

Successful completion of this course could lead to progression on to further study within the creative craft pathways of balloon art, event styling or floral design. Alternatively, you could study one of our Level 1 horticulture courses.

Government funding is not available for this course; you will need to pay for your tuition, exams and materials. The fee shown for each campus and course start date is the total fee that you will need to pay.

For some of our courses, we offer a discount for current students. If this is the case, you will see the reduced fee when you select your chosen course campus and start date. To qualify for this discount, you must already be studying another course at Capel Manor College, and be adding this course to your existing programme.
