Capel Manor College Breaks Ground at Enfield Campus as Exciting Redevelopment Works Begin

On Wednesday 3 June, representatives from Capel Manor College, members of the College’s Governing Board, architects from 3BM, building contractors from T J Evers and project consultants from Fusion Project Management took part in the ceremonial “first dig” at the College’s Enfield Campus.

The ceremony marked the official start of the exciting project that will enhance the College’s facilities for both current and future students.

Capel Manor College is replacing the main entrance at its Enfield Campus by investing in a new sustainable entrance and high-quality teaching facilities. The new buildings will be low density and echo the environmental essence of London’s environmental college, designed with adaptability and energy-efficiency at the forefront.

The event opened with speeches from Peter Brammall, Principal and CEO at Capel Manor College, and Simon Cooper Surveying Director at TJ Evers. Both speakers shared their vision for the development and highlighted the strong collaboration that has brought the project to this significant milestone.

Peter Brammall, Principal and CEO at Capel Manor College said:

“Capel Manor College has been through somewhat of a transformation in recent years. In January, we achieved an excellent Ofsted result and this year we have recorded our strongest student enrolment and achievement results to date. As the College has continued to grow and evolve, we’re keen to constantly seek ways in which we can enhance the facilities we provide for students, staff and visitors. This project is about investing in a world class teaching facility with conference rooms, a new reception area, improved retail outlet and beautiful architecture that creates an inspiring place for all.”

Simon Cooper, Surveying Director at TJ Evers said:

“As the building contractor, we are proud to be delivering this development on behalf of Capel Manor College and to be working alongside a dedicated and experienced project team to bring this vision to life. We look forward to progressing the works and sharing further updates as the development takes shape.”

The innovative project is due to complete in February 2027. Find out more at the College’s upcoming Open Day on Saturday 20 June.
