Course overview
This course will teach you advanced skills in floral craft, giving you the ability to visually communicate and critically evaluate your own designs within the craft industry.
Your studies will focus on creative crafts, investigating creative enterprise and employment opportunities. You will create weekly floral designs that will include a new or developing technique, in-depth evaluation of materials and working towards a commercial craft brief so you can explore the whole design process.
You will learn how to produce floral designs in response to a commercial craft brief. All fresh materials and sundries are provided by you to enhance your individual style.

A willingness and commitment to learn new skills. Completion of a Level 2 floral design course or of an alternative Level 1 course relating to art and design. Enthusiasm for working with craft and fresh floral materials.
Successful completion of this course will enable you to progress to a Level 3 course in floral design, Level 2 courses in event styling, event planning or floristry, or our Level 3 creative event management course. You can also develop your skills in a variety of workshops.
This course is part-funded by the ESFA (Education and Skills Funding Agency) or Greater London Authority (GLA) for those that are eligible.
If you are aged 16, 17 or 18 at the start of the course, your tuition, exams and materials fees will be paid for you in full as long as you meet some basic criteria for UK residence (more information can be found on our Fees and Funding page).
If you are aged 19 or over on the day your course starts, you may be entitled to help with tuition fees subject to criteria. If you receive employment benefits, have a low income, or are studying towards your first substantial qualification, you may be entitled to free tuition. For some of our courses, we offer a discount for current students. If this is the case, you will see the reduced fee when you select your chosen course campus and start date. To qualify for this discount, you must already be studying another course at Capel Manor College, and be adding this course to your existing programme.
