Course overview
Please note, this course is only available for those who are aged 19 or over. Please do not apply if you are younger than 19 years old. Our Level 2 balloon & event styling course is designed to expand on your existing knowledge and develop new skills in the creative world of balloon artistry and event styling.
Each week you will learn new designs, leading to your final installation at the end of the course. You will learn how to develop the skills needed to build your own professional portfolio, with the delightful grounds of Capel Manor Gardens as your backdrop. This offers you the chance to truly shine and for your styled designs to come to life in a glorious location.
This course is accredited through NCFE and designed by Capel Manor College teacher and international award-winning balloon artist Jo Higgs CBA.

Certificate in Creative Craft Level 2 – NCFE Reference: 60132322
Pass grade in our Introductory to balloon and mixed media or Level 1 balloon décor and event styling course. An understanding and some experience of the basic concepts of balloon art at beginners level. Enthusiasm for working with balloons and alternative mediums. You must be aged 19 and over to enrol on this course.
Successful completion of this course will help you gain employment in the event planning or styling industry at a junior level or you can progress to a Level 3 Certificate in Creative Craft – Balloon and Event Styling (Level 3).
You may also wish to apply for our Level 2 Certificate in event planning and specialised intermediate or advanced balloon décor workshops to enhance their skills and portfolio.
This course is part-funded by the ESFA (Education and Skills Funding Agency) or Greater London Authority (GLA) for those that are eligible.
You must be aged 19 or over to attend this course. If you are aged 19 or over on the day your course starts, you may be entitled to help with tuition fees subject to criteria. If you receive employment benefits, have a low income, or are studying towards your first substantial qualification, you may be entitled to free tuition. For some of our courses, we offer a discount for current students. If this is the case, you will see the reduced fee when you select your chosen course campus and start date. To qualify for this discount, you must already be studying another course at Capel Manor College, and be adding this course to your existing programme.
