Certificate in Creative Craft – Event Styling (Level 2)

Course overview

This course is designed to expand on your knowledge and develop new and existing skills in the creative world of floristry and event styling.

You will learn how to develop skills using craft, balloon and fresh materials. You will research recognised designers, taking inspiration to enhance your own designs, enabling you to develop your individual style. You will investigate creative enterprise and employment opportunities within the creative event styling industry.

At the end of this course, you will create a final design including your chosen techniques to showcase your understanding of the design process. All fresh materials, balloon resources and sundries are provided by you to enhance your individual taste.

Pass grade in our Level 1 event styling course. A willingness and commitment to learn new skills. Enthusiasm for working with plants and alternative mediums. You must be aged 19 and over to enrol on this course.

Successful completion of this course will help you gain employment in the event planning or styling industry at a junior level. Or you can progress to a Level 2 certificate in event Planning, a Level 2 floristry award, certificate or diploma or a Level 2 certificate in Level 2 balloon art.

This course is part-funded by the ESFA (Education and Skills Funding Agency) or Greater London Authority (GLA) for those that are eligible.

If you are aged 16, 17 or 18 at the start of the course, your tuition, exams and materials fees will be paid for you in full as long as you meet some basic criteria for UK residence (more information can be found on our Fees and Funding page).

If you are aged 19 or over on the day your course starts, you may be entitled to help with tuition fees subject to criteria. If you receive employment benefits, have a low income, or are studying towards your first substantial qualification, you may be entitled to free tuition. For some of our courses, we offer a discount for current students. If this is the case, you will see the reduced fee when you select your chosen course campus and start date. To qualify for this discount, you must already be studying another course at Capel Manor College, and be adding this course to your existing programme.
