Capel Manor College and Groundwork London partner to create new pathways into green careers
Capel Manor College is partnering with Groundwork London’s Green Space Skills Hub to help more Londoners gain the skills they need to start or progress a career in the capital’s green industries.
The partnership will deliver a programme of training through the Mayor of London’s London Talent Pathways initiative, creating accessible routes into employment and further training while helping employers develop the skilled workforce needed to care for London’s parks, gardens and green spaces.
Working together, Capel Manor College and the Green Space Skills Hub will provide a progression pathway through different levels of training. Groundwork London will facilitate Level 1 courses through the Green Space Skills Hub, with Capel Manor College delivering Level 2 and Level 3 programmes that enable participants to continue developing their technical and professional skills.
The programme will combine practical training with recognised qualifications and opportunities to develop the skills employers are looking for. Participants will be supported to build their industry knowledge, gain valuable experience and take their next step towards employment, career progression or further study.
The partnership builds on an established relationship between Capel Manor College and Groundwork London. Through the Green Space Skills Hub, the organisations are already working together to promote careers in London’s green space sector, improve access to employment opportunities and help the sector attract a more diverse workforce.
