Exciting Trips Around the World for Students at Capel Manor College
As London’s environmental college, Capel Manor College teaches essential green skills alongside an inspiring curriculum that motivates and excites students about their future working in land-based industries.
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing students with memorable learning experiences, students often get the opportunity to take part in educational trips around the world.
Most recently a mixed group of our animal management students visited the renowned Mohololholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre situated at the base of the majestic Northeastern Lowveld Drakensberg Mountain in South Africa.
Students witnessed first-hand the vital work that the rehabilitation centre does to rescue, rehabilitate and release injured, orphaned, and poisoned wildlife while creating awareness of the urgent challenges facing conservation today. Students were inspired by the centre’s contributions to preserving South Africa’s biodiversity and its dedication to fostering harmony between humans and wildlife.
Students that took part in the trip are studying animal management courses at Level 3 and from our higher education programmes. Educational experiences like these are a fantastic opportunity for students to apply their studies to real-world scenarios.
Meanwhile, our floristry students, travelled to Aalsmeer in the Netherlands and immersed themselves in the vibrant Dutch flower industry, one of the world’s most influential hubs of floral distribution.
Students visited Royal FloraHolland, one of the largest flower auction houses in the world, Fleur Metz and Meijer Roses, both prominent wholesalers, and Hortus Botanicus, believed to be one of the oldest botanical gardens of its kind.
Trips like these help our students to gain further insights into the careers they wish to pursue after finishing their studies, as well as increasing their confidence, and creating lasting memories.
