Course overview
Are you looking to learn more about carbon literacy and climate change? This short course will provide you with the essential knowledge and skills needed to help you understand the impacts of carbon emissions on the environment, and the importance of mitigating climate change.
You will be taught through interactive lectures and discussions, that will provide you with an understanding of the carbon cycle and greenhouse gases, and their role in global warming.
This course will empower you to make informed choices and take action to mitigate climate change as you learn practical strategies for reducing carbon footprints in everyday life.
You will learn
- The causes and consequences of climate change, including rising temperatures, extreme weather and rising sea levels
- How climate change has a disproportionate impact on vulnerable communities
- Practical strategies for reducing carbon footprints in daily life, such as energy conservation and waste reduction
Although there is no formal qualification associated with this course, all participants will receive a Capel Manor College Certificate of Attendance upon completion.
No formal qualifications required.
Upon completion of this course you can go on to study another short course from our a range of sustainable courses in the green environment, climate change or carbon literacy.
