Course overview
This 3-day short course, available to those aged 19 and over, will give you the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a wide range of workplace first aid situations.
This qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982. This is for those with responsibility for the provision of first aid in other settings such as voluntary and community groups.

- How to understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
- How to assess an emergency situation safely
- How to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty
- How to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking
- How to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding
- How to provide first aid to a casualty who us suffering from shock
- How to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries
