You can choose to study from a variety of The Worshipful Company of Saddlers Certificates in Saddlery in the following levels:
The Worshipful Company of Saddlers Certificate in Saddlery (Level 1)
The Worshipful Company of Saddlers Certificate in Saddlery (Level 2, Stage 1)
The Worshipful Company of Saddlers Certificate in Saddlery (Level 2, Stage 1) Harness
The Worshipful Company of Saddlers Certificate in Saddlery (Level 2, Stage 2)
The Worshipful Company of Saddlers Certificate in Saddlery (Level 3, Stage 1)
The Worshipful Company of Saddlers Certificate in Saddlery (Level 3, Stage 2)
Courses will take place at our Enfield Campus, one weekend per month.
You will learn
- To further your skills to intermediate or advanced levels in bridle or harness making
- Traditional techniques
- Pattern making
- Machining and sewing techniques
- How to create bridles, martingales, girths and more
This course covers various qualifications supplied by City & Guilds of London Institute.
You must have completed The Worshipful Company of Saddlers Certificate in Saddlery (Level 1) to progress to the further levels. A passion for craft or the equine industry. If you are applying for the Level 1 course, your fee includes a starter set of tools. You will be expected to bring your own tools for Levels 2 and 3.
Completion of The Worshipful Company of Saddler Certificate in Saddlery (Level 1) and any subsequent certficates in Level 2 and/or 3 will give you the confidence and skills to craft your own leather items, set up your own business or advance in the industry.
Government funding is not available for this course; you will need to pay for your tuition, exams and materials. The fee shown for each campus and course start date is the total fee that you will need to pay.
For some of our courses, we offer a discount for current students. If this is the case, you will see the reduced fee when you select your chosen course campus and start date. To qualify for this discount, you must already be studying another course at Capel Manor College, and be adding this course to your existing programme.
