Course overview
This one day qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
Learners will gain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a wide range of workplace first aid situations. The qualification is suitable for organisations who require a first aider, or for people with responsibility for the provision of first aid in other settings such as voluntary and community groups. This qualification is regulated in the UK and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA).

- To be able to assess an emergency situation safely
- To be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty
- To be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking
- To be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding
- How to provide first aid to a casualty who us suffering from shock
- How to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries
