Course overview
This course will allow you to demonstrate an understanding of, and competency in, the digital functional skills you need in real life settings. It will enable you to engage with digital services and products in everyday life. This qualification allows you to progress from entry Level 3.
To take part in our courses, you should be able to carry out some basic tasks on a device. This includes turning it on and entering or updating account information securely, such as passwords. You should know how to use the available control, whether that’s a mouse and keyboard for a computer or a touchscreen on a smartphone or tablet, and be able to interact with the home screen. You’ll also need to make use of accessibility tools, such as assistive technology or display settings, to make content easier to read.

You must be aged 19 or over and have basic IT skills. You should be able to connect to the internet safely and securely, including using Wi-Fi and opening a web browser, as well as open and access applications on your device.
