Forty Hall Farm

Enfield Veg Co. is our very own veg bag scheme, where members pay a monthly subscription for a weekly bag of seasonal organic vegetables. The scheme has been in operation since 2013 and has grown to approximately 190 members, contributing a significant proportion of the farm’s overall income and providing access to fresh, local seasonal veg to a large number of Enfield residents.

As EVC administrator you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of customer management and marketing of the scheme. You will be the main point of contact for customers, responding to any problems and requests. You will also, write the weekly newsletter, manage the enfieldveg.co.uk website and provide weekly membership figures to the Head Grower in order to facilitate the planning of the contents of the weekly veg bags.

You will have a high level of skill using MS Excel in an administrative setting, as well as good competencies with other administrative software. You will be responsible for overseeing the ‘GoCardless’ online direct debit payment system, and ensure that all payments are collected and customers receive the product they are paying for.

The EVC administrator is responsible for all communication and marketing, and will be able to produce a range of written material including a weekly paper and electronic newsletter, copy for the website as well as other marketing material. You will undertake to steadily increase both membership of the scheme and the number of pick-up points across the borough, and will be able to shape the strategy required to achieve this, liaising with other farm staff and the College marketing team as required.

Whilst there is a degree of flexibility about which days the work will take place, you will need to be able to be at the farm on Wednesday mornings to print copy and pack the weekly veg bags. You will also be willing to undertake occasional extra paid work at weekends.

What’s in it for you?

We offer the opportunity to help develop your skills and knowledge in a friendly team environment, plus a range of benefits including a career average pension scheme (LGPS), employee assistance programme and full access to Capel Gardens.
