As London’s environmental college, the College plays a vital role in the green agenda for the capital, equipping the next generation of land-based sector workers with the skills and knowledge needed to preserve and protect London’s wildlife, national parks and green spaces.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Team Leader in Animal Management at Enfield.
The successful candidate will be leading, managing and developing a curriculum area within the parameters set by the Curriculum Leader and Director of Studies in Animal Management & Saddlery. The candidate will work collaboratively and innovatively with staff to lead a culture of self-assessment and continuous improvement, promoting high standards of teaching and learning within the area, and producing high standards of student achievement, progression and value added. The Team Leader acts as Lead Internal Verifier and ensures all quality assurance procedures are fully complied with. They will be actively ensuring a high quality of provision in response to student and employer/industry needs and promoting new ways of teaching is also part of the role. Most importantly, the successful candidate will be able to join a vibrant, highly effective team that constantly strives to better people’s lives and prospects through education.
The ideal candidate will will have a teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) or willingness to work towards qualification. At least a HND, degree or similar in a science or animal related discipline. Experience of working in the Animal Management industry and a commitment to animal welfare. Experience of training animals and recognising behaviours is essential.
