Do you have a passion for Teaching & Learning and driving Quality Improvement? If so, we would love to hear from you.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a full-time Quality Practitioner to join the team for a period of maternity cover.  This role sits within the Quality Team and reports directly to the Director of Quality Improvement.

The post holder will be required to work across all of the College’s campuses to support academic staff with driving improvements to teaching and learning. This will involve providing academic colleagues with coaching and mentoring, undertaking learning walks and teaching and learning observations and providing developmental feedback, facilitating the sharing of best practice and leading a range of teaching and learning workshops. As well as working with team members to oversee the effective management of quality assurance processes and procedures across the College.

The role would suit an experienced Quality Practitioner with a background of driving quality improvement in teaching, learning and assessment or a lecturer with a track record of outstanding practice in teaching and learning and experience conducting lesson observations looking to move into a full-time quality role.

Over the last 50 years, Capel Manor College has helped thousands of school leavers and adults achieve their dream of working with animals, plants and the environment.  As London’s environmental college, the College plays a vital role in the green agenda for the capital, equipping the next generation of land-based sector workers with the skills and knowledge needed to preserve and protect London’s wildlife, national parks and green spaces.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative and beautiful land-based environment.

In order to be considered for the position, an application form must be completed.  CVs will not be accepted.  For further details and to apply, please visit the job vacancies section on the Capel Manor College website.

Please note that the College does not have a sponsorship licence.  We are therefore unable to consider applicants who do not have the right to work in the UK.

We reserve the right to close a position once sufficient suitable applications have been received to form a short list.  Early application is therefore encouraged.

What’s in it for you?

We offer the opportunity to help develop your skills and knowledge in a friendly team environment, plus a range of benefits including generous annual leave, a defined benefit pension scheme (Teacher’s Pension Scheme for Lecturing roles and Local Government Pension Scheme for Support roles), employee assistance programme and full access to Capel Manor Gardens.
