Over the last 50 years, Capel Manor College has helped thousands of school leavers and adults achieve their dream of working with animals, plants and the environment.  As London’s environmental college, the College plays a vital role in the green agenda for the capital, equipping the next generation of land-based sector workers with the skills and knowledge needed to preserve and protect London’s wildlife, national parks and green spaces.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Dog Grooming.

You will have a relevant qualification and experience in dog grooming, demonstrating knowledge and passion for dog grooming.  You should be able to demonstrate significant professional experience working with dogs and an excellent standard of work from the beginning through to the finished product.

Experience working with canines and within the dog grooming industry is essential and a network of contacts that can support the learners and the course is desirable.  The motivation to look forward, research, develop and implement new concepts and ideas in this specialist area is key to future credibility and student success.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and for sharing their knowledge and experience with the next generation.  You will be supportive of all students and believe in the College’s core values in nurturing a positive learning environment with equal opportunity and diversity at its core. 

You should have a flexible approach to working hours as some weekend work will be required.  Good administrative skills will be required to underpin the more creative aspects of teaching and learning.  The motivation to work supportively within a team, value and respect others at all times and enthusiastically pursue continual personal development are essential characteristics of the person we are looking to employ.
