Over the last 50 years, Capel Manor College has helped thousands of school leavers and adults achieve their dream of working with animals, plants and the environment.  As London’s environmental college, the College plays a vital role in the green agenda for the capital, equipping the next generation of land-based sector workers with the skills and knowledge needed to preserve and protect London’s wildlife, national parks and green spaces.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Learning Support Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be required to assess and coordinate required relevant support for all students with a declared learning difficulty or disability at our Gunnersbury Park Campus.  This will include completing initial interviews, high needs funding forms, risk assessments and annual reviews.

The ideal candidate will have previously worked in an educational setting and supported young people with learning difficulties and disabilities and will have knowledge and understanding of The SEND Code of Practice and Education and Health Care Plans.  They will have excellent communication and organisation skills, compassion and be able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative and beautiful land-based environment.

In order to be considered for the position, an application form must be completed.  CVs will not be accepted.  For further details and to apply, please visit the job vacancies section on the Capel Manor College website.

Please note that the College does not have a sponsorship licence.  We are therefore unable to consider applicants who do not have the right to work in the UK.

We reserve the right to close a position once sufficient suitable applications have been received to form a short list.  Early application is therefore encouraged.

We offer the opportunity to help develop your skills and knowledge in a friendly team environment, plus a range of benefits including generous annual leave, a defined benefit pension scheme (Teacher’s Pension Scheme for Lecturing roles and Local Government Pension Scheme for Support roles), employee assistance programme and full access to Capel Manor Gardens.
