An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced zoo keeper to be responsible for the teaching of the recently introduced Keeper & Aquarist apprenticeship delivered by the College.  It is intended that the post holder will deliver learning programmes, conduct workplace assessments, assist apprentices and their employers and provide support. Capel was the first college in the country to offer this apprenticeship and already delivers for several major clients including London ZSL.

The ideal candidate will be degree-educated with relevant industrial experience. They will have an understanding and experience of curriculum development and innovation.

The successful candidate will will teach groups of apprentices including associated preparation and marking, conduct workplace reviews and assessments using the e-portfolio Smart Assessor.

They will support in the design and preparation of learning materials and assessment of apprentices, including formative and summative assessments, internal verification and supervision of examinations.
