Over the last 50 years, Capel Manor College has helped thousands of school leavers and adults achieve their dream of working with animals, plants and the environment.  As London’s environmental college, the College plays a vital role in the green agenda for the capital, equipping the next generation of land-based sector workers with the skills and knowledge needed to preserve and protect London’s wildlife, national parks and green spaces. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant/Barista offering catering services to staff, students and the public.

The role involves a range of responsibilities including assisting with the set up and service of hot and/or cold meals and beverages, helping to keep the kitchen and food areas clean and tidy, ensuring food and supply items are stored correctly. 

You will also be responsible for ensuring server area is correctly stocked and maintained including beverage machines.  Handling cash and operating the till will also be required, training will be provided.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in catering, have a positive and enthusiastic approach and be able to deliver a friendly yet professional customer experience. 

This post will include weekend working, during the summer months’ subject to business needs.  The hours for the post are:

1 March to 31 October

11.00am until 3.00pm, four days out of seven including weekend

1 November to 28 February

11.00am until 3.00pm, Monday to Thursday
