Sharon’s story
Sharon studied Level 2 and Level 3 balloon artistry at Capel Manor College to regain confidence after taking some time out of the industry.
“I discovered Capel Manor College through social media and, after lots of online research, I chose to study balloon artistry in order to pursue a career in organising and designing large events.
I have always enjoyed balloon artistry and being creative. I used to have my own shop but I had to put it on hold due to medical conditions. I lost a lot of confidence by taking some time out, but the course helped me regain confidence and to reach my goals. The tutors and students created a friendly and social atmosphere, and I developed my skills in the areas that I am most passionate about.
I am now running my own business doing floristry, card making and balloons for all different occasions and events. In the future, I would like to train other people and pass my knowledge on to those who are looking to get into the industry.
I can’t thank Capel Manor College enough for their training and support. If you are looking to further your career then I would highly recommend them. It is not just a college – it is also a place where you gain a social life and lifelong friends.”
