Aspire Programme
Capel Manor College's Aspire Programme is an enrichment programme available to all Capel Manor College students aged 16 to 18, and those 19+ studying a full-time course.
The programme provides you with the opportunity to explore beyond your course and engage with the wider College and local community. We aspire to support and help you succeed in your career pathway by offering a range of short, enrichment courses to increase your employment opportunities and enhance your CV.

Our expert tutors and support staff will help you to maximise your employability potential, or eligibility for university progression, through our exceptional partnerships and networks within the land-based industries.
How can you achieve an Aspire Programme certificate?
The programme offers a choice of diverse training courses and videos. You will work towards a bronze, silver or gold certificate with a mini assessment at the end of each course.
To achieve your chosen certificate, you will need to meet the expectations according to the benchmarks for each certification within the Aspire Programme, these include:
- Good vocational attendance
- Attendance in Maths and English classes (if applicable)
- Completion of the minutes specified for each course via the training videos for eVocational completion (Pass or Fail)
- Work experience or industry placement completion (Pass or Fail)
- Conduct
How will the scheme help your employability?
We provide careers advice and guidance to help you make decisions and plan your next steps. We will support you in your development during the programme and can offer professional employability and enterprise opportunities, as well as additional enrichment activities to help you reach your full potential in your chosen career.
A vital part of the programme is completing work experience. You will undertake an external work placement to gain first-hand industry experience, providing you with a better understanding of working environments and helping to grow your confidence.
Take part in exciting, volunteering activities
Team Capel is our student, volunteering scheme for you to get involved beyond your studies, to extend your interests, confidence, personal skills, and have some fun! Team Capel opportunities are available at all College campuses and you can help with internal and external events throughout the year.
You can also benefit from unique opportunities to take part in enrichment activities such as The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Enterprise workshops, or volunteering programmes within the community or at College events.
