Yes, if you would like to have a friend or family member with you they are more than welcome. Ideally, we recommend only one guest per person to minimise overcrowding in our waiting areas.

No, only the person interested in studying at Capel Manor College needs to register at the bottom of this page. If you do not register beforehand, do not worry, you will be able to register on iPads at our Welcome Desk when you arrive at your chosen campus.

All of our campuses have water coolers with recyclable paper cups, alternatively, you are more than welcome to bring your own bottle to refill.

You can apply to study at Capel Manor College online. It is a simple process and we advise you to apply as early as possible to secure your place.

Applicants for selected full-time courses and apprenticeships will be invited to an interview with a course tutor. Following your interview you will either receive an unconditional or conditional offer depending on your qualifications or predicted grades. During your interview, the tutor may suggest an alternative course based on your future academic and career goals.

The amount you pay to study will depend upon your personal circumstances and the course you are enrolling on to. If you are aged 16 to 18 years old your course is free. If you are aged 19 and over, the full cost of your course will include the tuition fee, examination fee and materials fee where applicable. You can apply for financial help to cover fees if you meet specific criteria, which can be found here.

We encourage everyone to submit their application as quickly as possible. The sooner you apply, the sooner we can confirm your place.

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email from the Admissions team acknowledging receipt within five working days.

If you have applied for a full-time course you will be invited to an interview.

Should you need to follow up with the Admissions team, you can do so via our contact form or call us on 0303 003 1234. You will be asked to verify your identity prior to discussing your application.

Your place on some courses at the College depends on the outcome of your GCSE results. As soon as you know your grades, please let us know.

If you have already received a conditional or unconditional offer from us and are concerned about your GCSE grades - please do not worry; we can still offer you a place to study with us. Depending on your results, we will always help you select the right course for you.

If you have been given an Unconditional offer, you will be invited to enrol online to confirm your place at the College. If you have received a Conditional offer you will be invited to our Enrolment Week which takes place at the end of August and during our Post-GCSE Advice Day. You will need to bring your results in person to your chosen campus where staff will be on site to check your results and help you enrol.

You must be fully enrolled in order to start your course or attend the College.

If you are leaving school soon, it is time to start thinking about your next steps. One of the biggest decisions you need to make is whether to stay on at school and go into sixth form or go to college. Vocational qualifications at colleges can offer a fast track to employment or university as they allow learners to demonstrate they are better prepared for the workplace or higher study.

As a student at Capel Manor College you will experience a different learning environment to that experienced at a school's sixth form. You will be immersed in a hands-on, creative and practical outdoor learning environment, with exceptional, industry-experienced tutors who are experts in their fields and will help you gain renowned qualifications valued by land-based employers across the world. As part of your studies, you have the unique opportunity to obtain real-world experience and help take care of the College’s estates, gardens, farm, zoos and commercial businesses.

Achieving good English and maths skills is essential to compete in today’s job market. They are also essential for studying other subjects as all courses require students to apply English and maths skills in their work.

Since 2015, by law, all students aged 16 to 18 without at least a Level 4, or a grade C, in both English and maths at GCSE must keep studying these subjects as part of their study programme.

In 2015 the policy was tightened so that students with a Level 3, or a grade D, at the age of 16 were required to re-sit the GCSE.

Both of these qualifications are recognised by employers and other training providers.

When you enrol at Capel Manor College, we ask for copies of your exam certificates if you have already taken formal exams. The grade you achieved determines which qualification and level you will be enrolled on at the College.
