Garden design at London’s environmental college

Garden design is a unique profession that combines science with art. Turn your passion for nature and design into a meaningful career by transforming open spaces into beautiful oases.

Our tutors will help you gain industry-recognised qualifications and encourage you to get involved in environmental landscaping projects. You will also have the opportunity to showcase your designs in national competitions, and visit renowned gardens, parks and public spaces to inspire your work.

Andrew landed skills that matter

I have increased my confidence in my abilities, and it has helped me rediscover my love for drawing. The course also helped me improve my design skills and horticultural knowledge. Andrew studied Level 1 and Level 3 garden design courses at Capel Manor College.

Career prospects

Garden Designer

Being a garden designer can be a flexible full-time job enabling you to run your own business and work from home. Careers also include working as a designer for a landscape architect service or a garden design practice.

Interior Landscaper

Design, arrange and care for living plants in enclosed environments. Be responsible for designing indoor planting schemes with colour and focal points in offices, shopping centres, restaurants, and more.

Heritage and Conservation

Help manage the design of historic gardens and green spaces around the world. Work for organisations or charities like the National Trust, or other prominent gardens and estates.
