Star of the Royal Opera House stage, Peregrine the Shetland Pony, is staying at Capel Manor College’s farm at Crystal Palace Park for the summer.
Four-legged ballet stars are few and far between, but Peregrine, who has featured in five runs of La Fille Mal Gardée with the Royal Ballet, is a veteran of the stage. In a review of the production, The Guardian described his appearance as “characteristically professional”. Following his latest performance, which came to an end in May, Peregrine became something of a social media star via #naughtyperegrine despite being the consummate professional and decidedly well behaved.
The staff and students at Capel’s farm at Crystal Palace Park are delighted with their new resident, even though his stay is temporary as the stallion is on loan from Vauxhall City Farm.
