Duration: Part Time – 1 day per week 9am to 4pm for 8 weeks

This course will enable you to gain confidence in gardening skills which could lead towards employment or voluntary work.

Topics include:

  • Health & Safety practices
  • Tool use and maintenance
  • What cultivation means and how to do it
  • Seasonal planting – annuals/biennials
  • Maintaining a planted area
  • Seasonally relevant propagation
  • Plants identification

Practical Assessments will be carried in some of the above topics
Successful completion of these will result in a City & Guilds Level 1 Award and is a perfect springboard for studying our September start Maintenance Gardener courses at Crystal Palace Park, Gunnersbury Park, Regent’s Park and Enfield.
