This free, one-day workshop serves as a helpful introduction to basic maths skills.
Numeracy skills are vital across many aspects of our lives, from helping with your children’s homework, to performing calculations at work. Whilst attending this workshop you will learn how to apply fractions, percentages, and ratio and weight measure to real-life situations.
If numeracy feels daunting to you then this workshop is ideal to learn maths in a relatable format, alternatively if you are looking for a simple refresher in general numeracy, this one-day format is very convenient.

This course is delivered as part of the London Multiply programme.
You will learn
- New methods for multiplication, addition, subtraction and division
- Discover times tables learning tips
- Use the grid method and chunking when multiplying and dividing
- Understand new and unfamiliar mathematical terms and vocabulary
No formal qualification, however you will receive a certificate upon completion.
You must be aged 19 and over, with a willingness and commitment to learn.
Upon successful completion of this workshop, you can choose to build upon your maths skills by studying further with our free online, part-time courses in Everyday Maths Skills or Upskill in Maths.
