Introduction to Craft Skills – Free Tuition (Floristry/Balloons and Mixed Media/Event Styling)

Course overview

This one day per week course is suitable for all people wishing to explore their creativity with free tuition*. You can choose one** of our three pathways: Introduction to Floristry and Craft Skills, Introduction to Balloons and Mixed Media Craft Skills or Introduction to Event Styling and Craft Skills.

On our floristry pathway, you will learn how to create flower arrangements, wired work and planted containers using a variety of fresh materials. You will learn the basic practical skills to develop and expand your creativity. Upon completion, you will gain an accredited certificate.

On our balloons and mixed media pathway, you will learn and create a range of balloon designs and gain the basic practical skills to develop and expand your creativity through balloon artistry. Upon completion, you will gain an accredited certificate.

On our event styling pathway, you will learn event styling techniques which you will link together to produce a display. You will learn the basic practical skills to develop and expand your creativity. Upon completion, you will gain an accredited certificate.

*The tuition for this course is free. You are only required to pay for materials, at a cost of £25 (5-week course) or £30 (8-week course).

  • 9 June start (5-week duration): Thursdays, 9.30am to 4pm

Enfield Campus

  • 7 June start (5-week duration): Tuesdays, 9.30am to 4pm

Successful completion of this course will help build your confidence and you could progress to another floral workshop, a Level 1 course in event styling, a Level 2 course in event planning or a Level 2 diploma in floristry.
