Course overview

Are you ready to take your career in business to the next level? This course is designed for individuals like you and will teach you the critical business, project management, customer service, digital and financial skills you need to succeed when launching your own small business.

This course aims to inspire and enthuse learners who are considering a career in business. You will have the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of, and develop your skills in, the business sector. You will be able to adapt your course to meet your goals, whether that is immediate employment or moving to higher level studies. This course includes a combination of mandatory modules which will teach you the basic principles of business, as well as elective units that will enable you to specialise in specific areas.

BTEC First Certificate in Business

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Successful completion of this course will allow you to progress your studies with the BTEC First Diploma in Business (Level 2).

This is a full-time course. If you are aged 16, 17 or 18 at the start of this course, your tuition, exams and materials fees will be paid for you in full as long as you meet some basic criteria for UK residence. Further information will be provided when you enrol.

If you are aged 19 or over on the day your course starts, you may be entitled to help with tuition fees for some courses. If you are in receipt of employment benefits, have a low income, or are studying towards your first substantial qualification, you may be entitled to free tuition.
