Course overview
This course is aimed at anyone who is interested smallholdings, or simply growing their understanding and practical skills within the land-based sector.
The course is designed as a introduction course that will be taught using blended learning, with a mixture of both theory and practical activities.
You will learn
- Assist with feeding and watering of animals
- Introduction to production livestock and breeds
- Introduction to crop production systems

You must be aged 19 or over to apply for this course. You will need at least two GCSEs or equivalent. Relevant prior learning or experience gained in an appropriate professional environment will be considered. Enthusiasm for working outdoors. You will be encouraged to attend our Summer School.
Successful completion of this course will enable you to progress on to a higher level agriculture qualification.
