City and Guilds Level 3 Advanced Technical Certificate in Horticulture

Starts: September
Duration: 2 days per week ONE year or 1 day per week over TWO years
Available at: Enfield and Gunnersbury Park

This programme has been designed for students that may have a time constraint such as being employed, parent/carer along with wanting to extend their skills.
The course will be assessed using various methods including written assignments, practical assessments and examinations.

Our aim is to provide you with a solid set of horticulture skills and principles in the following subjects :

  • Maintain Turf in Parks and Gardens
  • Maintain Ornamental Woody and Herbaceous Plants
  • Land Based Industry Machinery Operations
  • Principles of Plant Health & Protection
  • Identify, Select and Planting of Plants
  • Plant and Soil Science
  • Principles of Health and Safety
  • Undertake Work Experience

Entry requirements
Level 2 Diploma in Horticulture at Distinction
Minimum of 200 GSCE points including passes at grade C (Grade 4) in English, Maths and a Science
Candidates aged 19+ who do not have the above qualifications may apply if they have other comparable qualifications or experience
All applicants will be interviewed prior to acceptance onto the programme.
