Our Higher Diploma in Floristry course is aimed at students who are wanting to get into the floristry industry, who have already completed a higher education course in a different subject.
The course will develop and enhance your independent design skills, delve into the processes of historical designs and will focus on creative event work. It will teach you how to effectively market and promote your floristry business to stand out in today’s thriving floristry industry. Your learning experience will be enriched with inspiring educational industry visits.

You will be required to undertake additional private study for completion of course assignments.

To achieve this qualification you will successfully complete:

  • a theory based exam
  • a practical based exam
  • portfolios of evidence.

Entry requirements
You will need at least one of the following:

  • an overall Merit or above in a Floristry Advanced Diploma (Level 3) or equivalent
  • any relevant prior learning/experience gained in an appropriate professional environment will be considered.

You may be asked to attend an interview to explore your interests, experience and ambitions. You may also be invited to complete an initial assessment. References are considered.

What next after your course?
Successful completion of this course can lead on to becoming a Master Florist, or gain a full Bachelor’s Degree in Floristry, or will help you gain employment in the industry.
